Getting answers: Google or God? Similar!

Everybody knows what Google is and what you do with it: find websites. And yet, how often do we treat finding websites as the same as finding answers to questions – “Google it” has become an expression for getting answers.

In our faith life we’re often confronted with questions to which we need answers and are referred to God for those answers: “pray about it” or “ask God.” Surprisingly, there’s a lot of similarities between inquiring of Google and inquiring of God.

Memindia Features:

  • what does St Paul say in the letter to the Romans about prayer that’s similar to searching for answers on Google?!
  • a challenge to spend some quiet time every day for a week
  • a prayer for better prayer
  • discussing prayer
